What to include in a first message
A first enquiry is easier to answer usefully when it names the project, the sponsor or mandating authority, the sector, the country, the approximate capital requirement and the stage the project has reached. If independent technical, legal or environmental work has already been done, say so. If a regulatory pathway or concession framework is already defined, that is the single most useful thing to mention.
The firm accepts a limited number of engagements each year, and each one requires an identified sponsor, a defined regulatory pathway and demonstrable institutional or government backing. Projects without those are declined regardless of headline size, so being direct about the current stage saves both sides time.
